The Charlotte White Center (CWC) has been providing support services to individuals facing the life challenges of cognitive, intellectual, and developmental disabilities, as well as behavioral health issues, for more than 30 years. Although the majority of funding for programs at CWC comes from the State of Maine, state assistance through Medicare and Medicaid is not sufficient to cover all of the critical assistance we provide to our consumers.
The Charlotte White Center’s (CWC) mission is to provide quality community health and social services for adults, children, and families affected by cognitive or developmental disabilities, behavioral or mental health challenges, substance abuse, domestic violence, or acquired brain injuries.
CWC is committed to improving the quality of life for those we serve, as well as our employees, by providing opportunities for personal growth, learning, transformation, employment, and self-fulfillment.
The Charlotte White Center (CWC) will be hosting a Holiday Store at the Airport Mall in Bangor from December 15th-20th (closed Sunday, December 18th), from 11:00am – 5:00pm daily. The Airport Mall has once again showed their generosity to CWC by donating the space for this short-term holiday gift shop.
CWC will be accepting donations at the Store until Monday, December 19th. The Store will offer new and gently used clothing for sale, as well as gift baskets at discounted rates. CWC wishes to provide families in need with the ability to purchase gifts for their loved ones, while raising funds for programs supported by the Center.
The Charlotte White Center (CWC), a non-profit organization with over thirty years of experience, provides quality community health and social services for adults, children, and families affected by cognitive and developmental disabilities, behavioral and mental health challenges, substance abuse, domestic violence, and acquired brain injuries.

At the Charlotte White Center, we know the importance of making sure that our employees feel valued and appreciated. After all, the success of the organization is largely due to the hard work and passion of our 450+ dedicated employees.
Every year, the management of the Charlotte White Center invites all employees and their families to a fun-filled afternoon of activities and delicious food as a way of thanking them for all of their hard work and dedication. This year, the theme was “Mexican Fiesta.”
